This policy explains what information TerraTakeoff collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. "We" means TerraTakeoff.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed) by our sign-in provider; we never see them.
- Your content: the plan PDFs you upload and your projects, measurements, names and notes.
- Billing details: your plan, its status and a customer number from Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store your card number.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type and request logs kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
- Map searches: the addresses you type in the map search are sent to Esri to find them.
- On your device: your language, units, theme, last map position and a backup copy of unsaved work are kept in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run TerraTakeoff: sign you in, save and open your projects, and show maps.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To send account emails such as confirmations, password resets and billing notices. We don't send marketing emails unless you agree to them.
- To keep the Service secure and fix problems.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Companies that process data for us under contract:
- Supabase: accounts, database and file storage, in the United States.
- Stripe: payments and billing.
- Esri: maps, satellite imagery and address search.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and delivery.
- Resend: sending account emails.
- jsDelivr and cdnjs: deliver parts of the app's code to your browser and see your IP address when they do.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or our users' safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case we'll tell you.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you close your account, we delete your content within 30 days and from backups within 60 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your projects and plans are stored so that only your account can open them. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
Your choices
You can see and edit your projects in the app, download your reports and marked-up PDFs, and close your account. To get a copy of your data, correct it or delete it, email us. If you live in a state that gives you extra privacy rights, such as California, we honor them.
Children
TerraTakeoff is for adults using it for work. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect children's information.

We'll post updates on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you.
